Hi, I’m Ren (also known by my pen name, Renkka)! I’m a writer and narrative designer based in Los Angeles, CA, where I was also born and raised.
I’ve worked in games since 2018, specializing in narrative and character-driven experiences.
My work is featured in visual novels, RPGs, open-world sims, robots, and more, for companies like Netmarble, HYBE, Singularity 6, and Wicked Saints Studios.
My love for writing and video games started in elementary school. I remember writing astronomy poems, silly picture books, and stories inspired by my favorite media.
Since then, I developed a passion for crafting worlds, characters, and experiences that enchant and inspire.

In my personal life, I’m a lover of plants and animals, food (I’m Yelp Elite!), horror, photography, music, books, and travel.
I’m an aspiring polyglot: I’m fluent in English and have conversational/basic working proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. I also have basic knowledge in Korean, Japanese, and Spanish.
I’m always learning, adapting, and growing, and applying my life experience to my craft. Excited for my next creative adventure!
